This isn't set in my world, so there's bound to be innumerable continuity errors to discover in the text. However, since it's technically a fanfiction, I decided to focus more on the writing--since, you know, it's also for a creative writing class. Anyway. Here are the explanations for several of the key continuity errors:

What about the transcript, as highlighted in DylonIsHere123's article "Earth?"

Well, my dear friend, there happen to be multiple stations from which communication to Earth could occur so... this just didn't happen on this screen.

Why doesn't anyone speak of it? (In reference to the Earthborn's tendency to avoid questions)

They all had friends and family and, from space, got to watch as a miniature black hole tore the atmosphere of the Earth apart. People were first stripped of oxygen and then launched into the vacuum of space to either float endlessly or be absorbed into the unstable black hole.

Is this scientifically accurate?

Yesn't. I mean. I did do some research and the creation of the miniature black hole is a possibility, albeit with chances nearing 0%, of generating a black hole. Whether or not the instability would cause this level of destruction is debatable, however, after around three hours of research I decided to give up as quantum physics were a bit too theoretical for me to bother digging into for a single story.
