TRIAL 1: "SANGUINARY THRESHOLD"

NOTES:

"We used crystalline sound, which resonated at a sub-dimensional frequency, to puncture the GodVein's membrane. The subjects' body trembled, with limbs hardening into unfamiliar shapes. The blood spilled backwards. The room brightened along with her veins."

"First to appear was a choir devoid of song. It lingered. An evil that made other evils forget what they were--a voice that was blank. There is still no sound in the corridors. Some of our longer-term creations simply forgot why they were there and died upon contact."

"The subject didn't yell. To keep quiet, she bit her own shoulder."

RE: Subject Mal'Rayvyn's metabolic collapse after Trial 3

"During the third trial, her spin broke open. She didn't grow back. Through it, she gave birth to what is know as a "Infinitive Knot-Evil." It seems to be a looping creature that can simultaneously exist in all unsuccessful timelines."

"Each time we take it out, it resurfaces inside one of our employees. We are unable to identify a source. We think that the creation of paradox predators as antibodies is her body's defense mechanism against this evil."

ANALYST: Dr. Sylne Valmir

"For the first time, she started crying. Not because it hurts. Except for whwat we did with her. Like a mother lamenting a dead child, she muttered its name: "Vel'thara...you weren't meant to be pulled."

"That one was supposed to stay inside me," she remarked when I questioned her about it. I owned it. It was damaged by you. Since then, I have not talked."

EXCERPT FROM FOOTAGE REPORT:

[Mal'Rayvyn is under sedation. Fractal burn lines had now appeared on her skin, expanding across her chest in black. Her GodVein operates independently. Like tape separating flesh, several shadows with black wings are removing themselves from her back.]

"Cease. That is sufficient." The researcher's voice broke.

Another lifeless, artificial voice: "We have to finish the cycle. The system will reabsorb the output if extraction is not maintained at 73%."

Mal'Rayvyn twitches her fingers. Her lips move, but before sound is recorded, the camera warps.

She muttered, "If I die here, I'll take the whole building with me," according to later analysis.

TECH BULLETIN 17-B

"The labs are not viewed as unfriendly by her GodVein. As we write out logs, it generates recursive defense systems, or horrors that delete them. Triple-redundant backups that were encrypted in prohibited languages were necessary"

"The evils get more sophisticated the longer she suffers. Some have moved inside the Lab's infrastructure and are no longer extractable. We think that a number of our internal operating systems are now speaking the "Mal'Rayvyn dialect" and are somewhat sentient.

RE: Stop the Extractions

"She is unstable. Nor are we. I mean structurally, not mentally. When she is in anguish, the structure breathes. I can assure you that I observed her veins around the vents in the ceiling."

"I was asked if I was proud by one of the evils we brought out. It had her voice."

"A girl like her is not someone you take godblood from. Not unless you want her screaming to fill your entire universe."
